The Philly Tree Coalition brings Priority Area Leaders (PALs), City agencies, and nonprofit organizations to coordinate the important work of bringing trees to communities that need them the most in ways that support them the best.

Many City of Philadelphia agencies are represented in the Philly Tree Coalition. These agencies lead many of the policies, programs, and initiatives that are essential to implementing the Philly Tree Plan. Their participation helps ensure City efforts are informed by resident voices while strengthening coordination and accountability for Plan implementation.

Community Partners are nonprofit organizations represented in the Philly Tree Coalition. Their work spans multiple neighborhoods and communities across Philadelphia, rather than being centered in one specific geographic area. They contribute specialized expertise, lead programs and initiatives, and collaborate with residents and partners to advance the goals of the Philly Tree Plan throughout the city.

Priority Area Leaders (PALs) are community representatives from the seven priority areas identified in the Philly Tree Plan. They help guide implementation by bringing residents' perspectives and priorities to the Coalition while sharing resources, opportunities, and updates back with their communities. PALs play a vital role in ensuring Philly Tree Plan implementation is community-led. Many PALs are part of neighborhood associations, place-based nonprofits, community development corporations, and more!

The Advisory Committee is the decision-making body of the Philly Tree Coalition, bringing together equal representation from Priority Area Leaders (PALs), City agencies, and nonprofit partners. The Advisory Committee guides collaboration and accountability and is the catalyst for advancing the goals of the Philly Tree Plan.
